How much does it cost to train at ITC?
Members are entitled to unlimited number of lessons at a flat fee. Please visit our dojang for more information regarding our fees.
What will I need to do Taekwon-Do?
For your free trial lesson, we would advise you to wear a comfortable t-shirt and a pair of track pants or tights. No shoes are required as you will be training on foam mats. Once you’ve decided to become a member and train regularly, you will be required to purchase a uniform (“dobok”) and a belt. We will advise you on other items that you will need when you sign up.
How much does it cost to buy the uniform and belt?
This is dependent on your size and what class or grade you hold.
Can I come and watch a class to see if it is for me?
Certainly! But we will encourage you to join us for a free trial lesson. There are no obligations whatsoever to join after the session. Seeing may be believing, but doing will help you decide if Taekwon-Do is for you.

Are there different classes for children/adults/women/beginners?
At ITC, we believe that every student can learn from each other – children and adults, men and women, beginners and seniors alike. As such, all are welcome for every session. The youngest age accepted for children is four years old. ITC also offers advance classes for those who are more keen to do intensive training.
Do you offer private lessons as well?
Yes, we do offer private lessons. If you are interested, please email us at email@example.com so that we may better understand your needs.
How do I get to the next belt?
ITC follows the International Taekwon-Do Federation syllabus for grading of our students and instructors. All beginners will start as white belts and we will guide you through our syllabus to prepare you for your exam. Grading for colour belts is held four times a year, and grading for black belts is held twice a year. To pass the grading, you will need to learn all the components of your syllabus for your grade.
Do you offer martial arts insurance?
Island Taekwon-Do Centre does not sell or profit from any insurance plans. However, we can refer you to an insurance provider in the event that your insurance provider does not cover you for martial arts related injuries.
Do you have tournaments and competitions?
Some tournaments and competitions are held regularly (World Championships) and others on an ad-hoc basis, including those in Singapore. ITC receives frequent invitations from the International Taekwon-Do Federation’s affiliated clubs and organisations around the world to participate in their championships. If you are interested in participating in tournaments and competitions, please speak to our Chief Instructor, Master Daniel Sng, for more details.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can speak to Master Daniel Sng at (+65) 9839 2275.
